"I have to admit that although Carlos Santana surprised me playing some of the "old stuff," it was new, vibrant, and alive. I've been listening to both these guys since the 70's, and I thought this was going to be a bit of a trip down memory lane. Seeing HEALING in Los Angeles was worth the price of the ticket alone. If I saw him on the next stop, even though he would be playing the same stuff, it would be absolutely different and alive all over again. Rod Stewart was exactly what I expected, and he was the Rod Stewart that I remember. Rod Stewart was pleasurable and talked to the audience as if they were in his living room. I think that he had the audience sing a bit too much as I didn't come to hear them sing. All in all, I would say Rod Stewart was fine, but HEALING in Los Angeles brought the house down. I just wish he could have played longer."
